Overview
Sutta Companion is built on a simple principle: your data stays on your device. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no servers.
What we collect
Nothing. The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
All data you create — practice logs, reading history, bookmarks, settings — is stored locally on your device using SQLite and never leaves it unless you explicitly export a backup file yourself.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to any server to deliver them.
Backup & Restore
The backup feature exports a local JSON file to wherever you choose (Files, iCloud, email, etc.). We never receive or store this file.
Third parties
The app uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporters.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. We do not collect data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated date above will reflect it.
